Setting a New Standard
In a landmark achievement for immersive training, the AEGIR simulator was officially certified by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) as part of a training course at our partner facility, the Reval Safety Training Centre. This was a long and rigorous process, culminating in a pivotal moment not just for Varcus, but for the entire maritime training industry.
This certification represented the first time a mixed-reality platform was formally recognized as a valid tool within a GWO-certified program. It was an official validation from a leading international body that training with AEGIR provides a level of competence and skill retention equivalent to real-world practice. This moved AEGIR from the category of an interesting innovation to a proven, industry-approved training solution, setting a new global standard for safety training.
