Proven When It Matters Most
A situational awareness tool is only as good as its performance when visibility drops to zero. This spring and summer, ESBEN underwent a series of rigorous sea trials designed to test its capabilities in the most challenging real-world conditions: dense fog and total darkness.
During a towage operation with our partners at Alfons Håkans, a heavy fog rolled in, reducing visibility to less than two miles. ESBEN performed flawlessly, overlaying a clear spatial marker of the client vessel that allowed our team to “see” its precise location and heading through the fog long before it was visible to the naked eye.
Following this success, we conducted extensive night trials to validate the system’s 24/7 reliability. The AR overlay remained stable and clear in complete darkness, providing vital navigation data without compromising the crew’s night vision. These combined trials serve as an undeniable demonstration of ESBEN’s core promise: to deliver true clarity and confidence, day or night, in any weather.
